Laser Mech? ALAW Happenings
Laser Mechanisms will once again exhibit at The Advanced Laser Applications Workshop (ALAW®) taking place June 5-7, 2017 at The Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan.
On the first day of the conference, Monday, June 5th, Laser Mechanisms, in conjunction with the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA) and sponsored by nLIGHT, will host technology demonstrations at its facility in Novi, Michigan. Laser Mechanisms will showcase three different nLIGHT Fiber Lasers performing various welding and cutting applications covering EV battery manufacturing and lightweighting.
On the final day of ALAW, Wednesday, June 7th, Laser Mechanisms’ Hans Herfurth will speak at 8:25 a.m. regarding Laser Welding of Plastics in Automotive and Beyond. Herfurth’s presentation will cover process, material and joint design requirements for welding plastics and present recent application examples from automotive sensor housings and under-hood components to lighting applications.
